Caregiver space

The caregiver space is the Élise web interface. On the home network it lives at http://elise.local:8080; remotely, at the private Tailscale address (see Remote access).

The home screen sums up the day: the room where the resident was last detected, a narrative of the day, daily markers (front door, fridge, toilet, shower) and the latest events in the home.

This information is a set of markers, not continuous monitoring. Missing data is shown as missing.

An alert follows a lifecycle: open, then acknowledged, then resolved or dismissed. Each change is appended to the history, never rewritten, and can be reviewed. Each alert has a level: information, attention or urgent.

Alerts cover inactivity, a door left open, a call-button press, unusual activity, temperature too low or too high, a water leak, smoke, a detected fall, a missed medication, a low battery or a silent sensor, among others.

Thresholds are set in the alert settings: for instance inactivity from 15 minutes to 24 hours, or an open door from 1 to 120 minutes.

  • Journal: notes shared between caregivers.
  • Calendar: visits and appointments, which also feed the resident screen.
